This week the College is drawing on the promotions and resources of National Careers Week (an initiative of the Career Industry Council of Australia) to assist students in broadening their horizons about career opportunities. Our Careers Coordinator and multiple staff members have planned a comprehensive week-long series of events.
The College congratulates our Principal, Judith Weir, on being awarded a Menzies School Leader Fellowship for 2021–2023. Judith is one of six innovative leaders from Victorian government, Catholic and independent schools who have been afforded this honour, and we have good reason to be proud of and delighted for her.
The term break and the season of Easter come at a time when people and nations worldwide continue to be deeply affected by second, third and fourth waves of COVID. May the Easter days give us time, space and cause to shift our thoughts and prayers to all who are struggling with the challenging impacts of the pandemic. And may the hope of the Resurrection enable them to move forward with faith. The College offers the following prayer with these intentions at the forefront of our hearts and hope.
As we continue with remote learning, we acknowledge the many challenges facing families, students, staff and the broader community. Our staff and students are harnessing much of what they learned in 2020 to ensure that we remain connected as a community. Our Student Representative Council and Student Wellbeing Team are working hard to provide ways for us to connect with each other, including ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ challenges, Conversation with the Counsellors sessions, Pastoral activities and student-run podcasts. Thank you to all of our students, families and staff for your adaptability, patience and kindness during these challenging times.
